Temple Administration
The temple belonged to Nellayikunnathu Mana, a prominent brahmin family in Nellayi. In 1989, the then ‘Ooralan’ (owner of the temple) handed over it to a registered body of devotees. (Reg.No 895/89). The governing body consists of not less than 10 members and has tenure of 2 years. The ‘ooralan’ acts as the patron of the committee.

Women’s Committee
A women’s organization of ladies of the village called ‘ Mahamunimangalam Temple Vanith Samithy’ is actively serving the temple as well as devotes in several ways. For the over all development of the village as well as young people especially children, Narayaneeyam Parayanam and Hari Nama Japam will be performed at the auspices of Vanitha Samithy. Other activities include Geetha Parayanam, Vidhya Gopala Manthra Yagnam, Vilakku(Lamp) Pooja, Vishu as well as Lalitha Sahasranama Japam. Women devotees have formed a free service organisation within the frames of the temple-Mahamunimangalam Kshetra Vanitha Samithy. It assists the temple administration in several ways. Penances like Narayaneeya japam, Sahasranama japam, various kinds of ‘Group Archanas’, Services in the oottupura during ‘Annadanam’ etc are some of their auspicious services.

Future Activities
1. Change of KSEB ownership to Temple Committee.
2. Obtain a Landline Telephone Connection to have an address proof
3. Fixing of solar lights in temple arch(Kamaanam)
4. Computerisation of temple accounts and counter
5. Obtain a PAN Card as an identity
6. Proper Use of roofs of a) temple office room b) shed near auditorium
7. Laying of rock stone sheets inside the temple
8. Gold pasting the Prabha Madalams of Siva-Parvathi-Ganesh
9. Laying of tiles inside the paths of Prathakshinavazhi
10. Repairing of Prathakshinavazhi
11. Change of roof sheets of Oottupura
12. Construction of fresh latrine and bathroom
13. Construction of restrooms on old stage.
14. Construction of compound wall after ValiyaKaavu repair.
Online Offerings
As per the scheme a full day’s poojas and rituals will be performed on the member’s name and star on the day selected by the member in connection with birthday. Marriage anniversary, house warming anniversary or any other important/auspicious day of life. For this an amount of Rs 1001/- is to be remitted by the member will be kept in a corpus of Life Membership Fund and the yearly return from the corpus will be utilized to perform poojas and rituals both at Lord Mahavishnu’s as well as Lord Dharmasastha’s shrines. The ‘Prasadams’ of the pooja’s will be sent to the member either directly or through any of his family member’s or by post. In addition to this, the member will automatically become a member of Mahamunimangalam Sree Mahavishnu Temple Administration/Welfare group and can exercise his voting in their annual general body meetings.
